Lang Son inaugurated a mountain road to welcome the 18th Provincial Party Congress.

On September 20, at Chi Lang commune, the People's Committee of Lang Son province held the inauguration ceremony of the project to build a new inter-commune road from Chi Lang town to Y Tich commune, Chi Lang district (project name set before July 1, 2025). This is the project selected to have a welcome sign for the 18th Lang Son Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The project to build a new inter-commune road from Chi Lang town (now Chi Lang commune, Lang Son province) to Y Tich commune, Chi Lang district (now Van Linh commune, Lang Son province) was approved in principle by the People's Council of Lang Son province in Resolution No. 33/NQ-HDND dated December 14, 2020 and the Provincial People's Committee approved the Feasibility Study Report in Decision No. 1169/QD-UBND dated June 14, 2021.

With a total length of more than 7.8km, the route is designed according to the standards of a grade B rural road, starting with National Highway 1 in Chi Lang town (now Chi Lang commune), and ending with District Road 88 in Y Tich commune (now Van Linh commune).

Leaders of Lang Son province witnessed the ceremony of attaching a signboard to welcome the 18th Lang Son Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030 of the road.

The route forms an important connecting axis between communes, linked to National Highway 279, creating favorable conditions for socio -economic development, while ensuring national defense and security tasks. The project has a total investment of more than 164 billion VND.

According to Deputy Director of the Lang Son Province Construction Investment Project Management Board Bui Hoang Nam, representative of the project investor, during the implementation process, the project encountered many difficulties due to having to go through many high rocky mountains, complex geology, requiring excavation of more than 250,000m³ of rock and soil, mainly hard rock that had to be treated by drilling and blasting.

Therefore, after more than 3 years of construction with a high sense of responsibility, "overcoming the sun and rain", the road can be completed, reaching the finish line in time for Lang Son province to prepare to organize the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Affirming at the inauguration ceremony, according to comrade Luong Trong Quynh, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, in recent years, Lang Son province has always paid attention to investing and completing traffic infrastructure, especially key and connecting traffic routes to promote local socio-economic development.

Accordingly, the completed route will facilitate travel and transportation of agricultural products for people in the area, especially Van Linh commune, Bang Mac commune and neighboring areas, promoting trade, economic and social development... in the locality.
