Leaders of Voice of Vietnam Radio visited and presented gifts to support victims of the fire at Khuong Ha mini apartment building.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Vu Hai Quang shared that the fire at Khuong Ha mini apartment building shocked and saddened people across the country. Immediately upon receiving news of the fire that killed 56 people, the Voice of Vietnam Trade Union assigned the VTC News Electronic Newspaper Trade Union to be the focal point to receive support from domestic and foreign readers to help the victims. By 12 noon on September 15, more than 2,000 readers had sent VTC News Electronic Newspaper a total of 1 billion 173 million VND in support.

Sharing with the victims, Mr. Vu Hai Quang expressed his condolences to the families of those who died in the fire, and encouraged the victims currently in the hospital to try to stabilize their spirits and cooperate with the treating doctors to soon return to normal life.

Of the 26 fire victims being treated at Bach Mai Hospital, 4 are in serious condition, each receiving 20 million VND from VTC News readers. The remaining 22 are patients who have recovered and are being monitored, each receiving 10 million VND from VTC News readers.

On behalf of the Voice of Vietnam Trade Union, Mr. Vu Hai Quang also gave the doctors of Bach Mai Hospital 30 million VND from the Trade Union fund to join hands with the hospital to treat the victims.

In addition to the 300 million VND donated to the victims at Bach Mai Hospital, the remaining amount will be given by VTC News to other victims of the Khuong Ha apartment fire.
