EVN leaders urge progress of Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project

The Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Construction Site is implementing important work items, striving to achieve the electricity generation schedule of Unit 1 in September 2025.

On April 2, EVN Board of Directors member Dang Huy Cuong and EVN Deputy General Director Pham Hong Phuong inspected the construction progress of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant expansion project.

Recently, the Power Project Management Board 1 (EVNPMB1) and the contractor have made many efforts in mobilizing human resources, equipment, and organizing the construction of many items according to the planned schedule.

EVNPMB1 and the contractor strive to complete the concrete construction, roofing of the machine room and installation of the roof of unit 1 before April 10, 2025.

The project is on track to complete the dismantling of the water intake embankment by June 15, 2025. This is a key milestone that needs to be achieved so that the project can generate electricity from both units in 2025.
