Ca Mau province leaders work with businesses on investment cooperation in energy and infrastructure projects.

On the afternoon of September 23, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Chi Nguyen had a meeting and worked with the Mekong Delta Economic Zones Development Investment Joint Stock Company and foreign investors, contractors, and consulting units who came to explore investment cooperation opportunities for energy projects in Ca Mau province.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Chi Nguyen informed about the potential, strengths, and space of Ca Mau province after the merger; in particular, Ca Mau province has completed and put into commercial operation 14 wind power projects. In parallel, according to the VIII power plan, Ca Mau province has been planned to increase solar power, offshore wind power... for export. In addition, the province also has 09 industrial parks with an area of ​​over 2,500 hectares and many industrial clusters.

The Mekong Delta Economic Zones Development Investment Joint Stock Company, along with investors, contractors, and consultants from the US, South Korea, and Singapore who attended the meeting, said: In the coming years, the units have committed to investing about 10 billion USD in energy, infrastructure, and seaport development projects in Vietnam. Accordingly, they want to expand investment activities in the energy sector in potential provinces, including Ca Mau province. Therefore, they hope that the provincial leaders will pay attention and create favorable conditions for them to access projects in the province.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the provincial departments, branches, and sectors to compile and send information to investors for reference; regarding investment incentive policies, Ca Mau province implements in accordance with the general regulatory framework of the Vietnamese Government .
