Provincial People's Committee leaders inspected the field of the Phan Rang-Thap Cham City Sustainable Environment Project

On November 29, comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the field of the Sustainable Environment Project of Duyen Hai Cities - Phan Rang-Thap Cham City Sub-project. Accompanying him were comrade Chau Thi Thanh Ha, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Phan Rang-Thap Cham City Party Committee, and representatives of relevant local departments and branches.

Inspecting the Wastewater Treatment Plant package (PR-1.10B), the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts of the contractor and construction unit in urgently constructing items such as: Upgrading the aerobic pond, completing the connection system, installing equipment in the pre-treatment house, the electrical system of the operating house, underground water collection pipes with very urgent progress with 4 construction teams working 3 shifts continuously day and night. Although it has only been deployed since the end of March 2023, up to now the package has reached over 55% of the workload, ensuring the completion progress before the June 2022 milestone. Here, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also kindly visited and encouraged the team of engineers, workers and foreign experts who overcame difficulties and actively participated in implementing the province's important project.

Inspecting the bidding packages along Tan Tai canal, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor - the Board of Capacity Building and Implementation of ODA Water Sector Projects to coordinate with the People's Committee of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City to urgently remove obstacles and difficulties in site clearance at some locations; strengthen mobilization and propaganda of the meaningful objectives of the project so that organizations, households and individuals can agree and promptly hand over the project construction site; at the same time, resolutely and strictly handle cases of procrastination, non-compliance with policies, causing difficulties in project implementation; not let a few individual households affect the overall progress of the key project. Comrade Tran Quoc Nam also praised the households for complying with policies, promptly handing over the site, and dismantling constructions on the land so that the project can be implemented smoothly and quickly.

At the Central Regulating Lake construction package, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the objectives, significance and landscape of the investment items with a regulating lake surface area of more than 17 hectares and 5 hectares of green park. When completed, the project will contribute to creating a green, clean, beautiful and modern urban landscape; opening up prospects and potentials for trade and service development, increasing land use value. At the project, there are currently 5 construction sites for embankment construction, parks, and dredging the lake bed with fast construction progress, reaching 61% of the workload, ensuring conditions for early completion of the project compared to the set schedule. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the People's Committee of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City to continue to mobilize land clearance for the remaining 5 households who have not yet handed over the land; at the same time, closely review legal documents to organize enforcement and resolutely handle the remaining cases. On the other hand, it is necessary to have research and solutions to effectively manage and use appropriate service land funds, promote the value of the project, create jobs and increase income for people.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also directed the investor to review the project as a whole, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, urge contractors to construct urgently, closely follow the set progress; make the most of and effectively use investment capital, be determined and compete with high responsibility in the spirit of the emulation campaign "90 days and nights of public investment disbursement" of the Provincial People's Committee. Contractors need to take advantage of time and favorable weather conditions to complete the project early as committed. Because this is a key project, with a large investment capital source, very important in the development of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City, improving the quality of life of the people. Currently, the project has disbursed capital at a rate of 68% and strives to disburse 100% of the set plan by the end of the project (June 2024).
