Lao Cai: Celebrating 75 years of the Youth Volunteer Force's Traditional Day

On the morning of July 14, the Lao Cai Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers held a meeting to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Youth Volunteers (July 15, 1950 - July 15, 2025); and the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers.

During 20 years of operation, the Association has resolved policies for more than 2,100 former youth volunteers; built a comradeship fund of 950 million VND to help members borrow to develop their family economy , eliminated 143 dilapidated houses by socialization, donated 140 savings books worth 574 million VND, and presented more than 1,300 gifts to members.

With its achievements, the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers was honored to receive many emulation flags and certificates of merit from the President of the Vietnam Association of Former Youth Volunteers; emulation flags and certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh acknowledged, commended and congratulated the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers for its practical contributions in 20 years of construction and growth.

In the coming time, the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers will continue to innovate the content and form of propaganda andeducation on historical traditions in a practical and effective manner, contributing to fostering patriotism and revolutionary traditions for members and people, the younger generation, students, and teenagers; consolidate and build an increasingly strong association. Resolve outstanding policies for former youth volunteers, pay attention to coordinating and effectively implementing policies for people with revolutionary contributions and social security policies in the province.

At the ceremony, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Association's work and patriotic emulation movements; and awarded 18 Veteran Youth Volunteer Medals.
