Việt NamViệt Nam16/04/2024

The custom of tying a string on the wrist is a unique cultural feature of the Lao people, showing the hospitality of the Lao people towards their friends. Tying a string on the wrist with wishes of peace and luck is a message that each person here gives to everyone around them, international friends. In particular, Lao people often pray for others more than for themselves. Because for Lao people, wishing good things for others, then the guest will bring peace to them.

After completing the worshiping ritual, representatives of Lao students and overseas students in Son La performed the wrist-tying ritual for Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam; Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong and other delegates. At the same time, they sent best wishes to the delegates attending the ceremony, wishing the special relationship between the two Parties, States and People of Vietnam - Laos in general, Son La province and the provinces of Lao PDR in particular to be forever green and sustainable./.
