Prayer ceremony for national peace and prosperity on the first day of operation of two-level local government

This morning, July 1, at Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace, Yen Tu Ward, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh Province solemnly held a prayer ceremony for national peace and prosperity. Attending the ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee; Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh Province.

This meaningful activity took place on the first day the country officially put into operation the two-tier local government model, an important milestone in the process of national innovation and development.

At the same time, more than 18,000 pagodas, monasteries, meditation centers, hermitages, and monasteries across the country simultaneously performed the ritual of three bell rings and three drum beats of the Heart Sutra, creating a sacred sound that spread throughout the country.

Hundreds of monks, nuns, Buddhists and people came to Yen Tu to witness the bell and drum ringing ceremony and pray for national peace and prosperity.

In Buddhist rituals, bells and drums are two important instruments often used in great ceremonies. The Prajna drum symbolizes transcendent wisdom, combined with the ringing sound of the bell, not only creating a sacred sound, but also helping people's minds become pure, arousing the spirit of national unity, towards the sustainable development of the country.

At exactly 7:30 a.m. on July 1, at Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace, Yen Tu ward, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh province held the three-bell and drum-ringing ceremony to pray for national peace and prosperity.

The prayer ceremony at Yen Tu ended in a solemn and sacred atmosphere, leaving a beautiful mark on this special historical day, an important milestone in the development and integration process of the Vietnamese people in general and Quang Ninh province in particular.
