The military band played the national anthems of both countries. Next, the Malaysian Prime Minister invited Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to inspect the Guard of Honor. The two Prime Ministers returned to the podium and the national anthems of both countries were played for the second time.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with the Malaysian Prime Minister and his wife, introduced to each other the delegations of the two sides and the Ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps in Malaysia attending the welcoming ceremony. At the end of the welcoming ceremony, the Malaysian Prime Minister and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh led the delegations of the two countries to the Prime Minister's Office for talks.

This is the first visit by a Vietnamese Prime Minister to Malaysia in 10 years and the first visit to Malaysia by a key Vietnamese leader after the two countries upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in November 2024.

On the basis of good relations, the official visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Malaysia this time is of great significance, both promoting solidarity among ASEAN countries and demonstrating Vietnam's consistent foreign policy of attaching importance to the friendly neighborly relations and comprehensive strategic partnership with Malaysia.
