Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024 will return next June

On January 5, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced that the 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival is expected to be held again next June, with the support of Sun Group.

After the success of the 2023 edition, the summer by the Han River will continue to be lit up with the return of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2024. The event is organized by the Da Nang People's Committee in coordination withSun Group .

Specifically, the People's Committee of Da Nang City has just had a working session with departments, branches, sectors and Sun Group Corporation on a number of work contents related to the implementation of the organization of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2024.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Da Nang City proposed that Sun Group Corporation will continue to be the enterprise accompanying the city in organizing the festival as well as a series of side events.

The DIFF 2024 venue will continue to be held at the Han River Port area (Hai Chau district) and the sidewalk area of Tran Hung Dao street (Son Tra district).

DIFF 2024 is expected to have 8 participating teams, including 7 international teams from the following countries: France, Italy, USA, Germany, Poland, China, Finland and the Da Nang team representing Vietnam.

Thus, next year it is expected that there will be 3 new recruits from the US, Germany, and China participating in the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.

Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2024 will still keep the same program framework as last year, with 5 competition nights, including 4 qualifying round nights and one final night.

The opening night is scheduled for June 8, with fireworks nights taking place every Saturday night in the following weeks (with a week off before the finale).

The final night of DIFF 2024 is expected to take place on July 13.

Accordingly, each night, the teams will have 20 minutes to perform fireworks displays according to the theme of each night agreed upon by the Organizing Committee.

The general theme of DIFF 2024 is still in the process of being selected, but the leaders of Da Nang city emphasized that DIFF 2024 will aim for the message of a peaceful, fair, harmonious and humane society.

It is known that in 2023, DIFF created a boost for Da Nang tourism to recover spectacularly after Covid-19, with growth figures exceeding expectations.

During DIFF 2023, flights to Da Nang International Airport will sometimes reach 150 flights/day, 1.5 times higher than usual. The city's room occupancy rate is about 70%, of which 4-5 star hotels are 80-85%.

This figure increased compared to DIFF 2019, when that year the room occupancy rate in the city reached 65-70%, and the 4-5 star hotel occupancy rate reached 75-85%.

On each night of the 2023 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, Da Nang city welcomes from 60 to 65,000 visitors.

Da Nang tourism industry expects DIFF 2024 to continue to create strong growth opportunities for the industry, especially expecting the number of domestic and international visitors to Da Nang to increase sharply on this occasion.
