Phieng Khoai Primary and Secondary Boarding School is the first starting point of 13 inter-level boarding schools that will be invested in construction in Son La province. The school will be built at the current Phieng Khoai Secondary School, on an area of 5 hectares, with a capacity of more than 1,000 students; implemented in the period of 2025 - 2026, including many modern items: main classrooms, subject classrooms, library; dormitory area, official housing; Board of Directors block; kitchen, dining room, warehouse; physical education and sports facilities such as multi-purpose hall, swimming pool, outdoor sports field; internal road system and auxiliary items... The project not only helps students have better conditions to study and practice, but also contributes to preserving cultural identity, creating a source of cadres from local ethnic groups, improving the material and spiritual life of people in border areas, contributing to strengthening national defense and security.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Comrade Trang Thi Xuan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that, implementing the Conclusion of the Politburo, the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee have resolutely directed all levels and sectors to urgently prepare for the implementation of the project. At the same time, commending the exemplary and pioneering spirit of the Provincial Police force in undertaking the project and organizing the groundbreaking ceremony today. In order for the project to be completed soon, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party's policy, it is requested that all levels and sectors, especially the Department of Finance, Department of Construction, Department of Education and Training, contractors, Party Committees, authorities and people of Phieng Khoi commune, need to resolutely take part, closely coordinate with the Provincial Police in implementing the project; this must be considered a particularly important political task, and the construction must be organized well, with quality, effectively and as quickly as possible; ensure the site, infrastructure, and capital disbursement on schedule, while creating the most favorable conditions for construction units during the implementation process; as the General Secretary said, "This is a project of the people's hearts, for the future of our children, it must not be delayed or spread out."

After today's ceremony, all levels and sectors are requested to continue to proactively coordinate in implementing the construction of the remaining 12 inter-level boarding schools of the province in border communes in accordance with the spirit of the Politburo's Conclusion, the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister. At the same time, continue to propagate and create consensus in society and the entire political system in the journey to help children go to school.
