Launching ceremony and announcement of the decision to implement the activity "Navy sponsors fishermen's children"

On August 5, in Cam Ranh City, Khanh Hoa Province, the Command of Naval Region 4, along with units in the Naval Force Cluster 4, coordinated with the People's Committees of Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen , Khanh Hoa, and Binh Thuan provinces to organize a ceremony to announce the decision on the activity "Navy adopts fishermen's children". Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the program.

Over the past years, the Naval Region 4 Command has coordinated to implement the program "Vietnam Navy as a support for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea" in 5 provinces of Ninh Thuan , Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, achieving many important results. To continue to effectively implement the program "Vietnam Navy as a support for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea"; to comply with the directive of the Standing Committee of the Navy Party Committee on implementing the activity "Navy sponsors fishermen's children", the Naval Region 4 Command has proactively coordinated with local authorities and units in the Naval Force Cluster 4 to organize the implementation of the activity "Navy sponsors fishermen's children". After launching and announcing the decision, units of Region 4 and units in the region received support to sponsor 35 children, of which Ninh Thuan province had 10 children, Phu Yen had 9 children, Khanh Hoa had 10 children, Binh Thuan had 6 children. During the program, the Navy, Command of Region 4, Central Youth Union and agencies, units and businesses gave the children and their families many practical and meaningful gifts.

This is a practical and meaningful activity of the Navy in participating in supporting and helping fishermen. The target subjects are children of fishermen under 18 years old, orphans (father or mother, or both father and mother), or whose parents are sick, have accidents, or are injured during work and production at sea, leading to loss of working capacity; children with legal guardians from poor households, families in difficult circumstances living in the 4 provinces of Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan . Thereby, contributing to helping and sharing difficulties with fishing families, creating favorable conditions for fishermen to confidently go offshore, stick to the sea to exploit seafood, and firmly protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
