On the morning of August 23, Vietnamese tennis celebrated a new milestone when an athlete won the Roland Garros Junior 2025 qualifying round. Le Tien Anh made tennis fans proud.

In the final of the Roland Garros Junior 2025 qualifying round, Le Tien Anh met Indian athlete Dahiya. Dahiya is the number 1 seed and candidate to win the men's singles of the tournament.

Both players showed all their strength and advantage to create 2 tight sets. Le Tien Anh won 2-0 with the score 7-6 and 7-5 after an exciting tie-break series.

The 2011-born player is known for his hard, spin-heavy serves with his left hand, which are very annoying. However, Dahiya also showed why he is the number 1 seed of the tournament.

The victory over Dahiya further demonstrated Le Tien Anh's ability and qualities. The 14-year-old tennis player showed confidence, bravery and strong progress at Roland Garros Junior 2025.

Previously, on the opening day of August 18, Le Tien Anh caused a surprise when he defeated the second seeded player, also from India, Ranvir Singh, with a score of 2-1 (6-3, 5-7 and 6-2).

In the second match, Tien Anh defeated Bang John Hyun Gyum (Korea) with a dramatic score of 2-1 (5-7, 7-6, 6-2). He then defeated Lai Tsz Ho with a score of 2-0 to lead Group F.

Topping Group F, Le Tien Anh won an Asian Wild Card to attend the Roland Garros Junior Series event in Japan (from October 13 to 17) to find a place to go to France next year.

In the semi-final, the Vietnamese player defeated Liu Ian of Taiwan with a score of 2-0 (6-3, 6-1).

Le Tien Anh successfully ended the tournament with a winning streak. He became the first Vietnamese tennis player to win the Roland Garros Junior qualifying round. At the same time, Tien Anh was the first singles tennis player to win the Junior qualifying round of the International Tennis Federation - ITF.

Hoang Nam participated in Roland Garros Junior 2014 but did not win the championship. A year later, thanks to his good ranking on the junior rankings, Ly Hoang Nam entered the main round of Roland Garros Junior 2015. He was also the 11th seed, but stopped in the third round of the men's singles.

"I'm very happy to win the championship and will focus on the upcoming tournament in Japan," Le Tien Anh shared.
