The remaining two teams, Myanmar (ranked 72nd in the world) and China (ranked 85th in the world), will create a surprise if they win tickets to the quarterfinals of Group A.

The 2024 AFC Futsal Championship is also the qualifying round for the 2024 World Futsal Cup (taking place in Uzbekistan in October 2024). Similarly, Thailand is slightly better than the Vietnamese team,” coach Diego Giustozzi said before the tournament.

Our first opponent has a very good defensive counter-attacking style of play, so we must have clever calculations to read the situation as well as apply our playing style in the upcoming match. In my opinion, this will be an even match, predicting that the Myanmar futsal team will defend low and wait for the opportunity to counter-attack", coach Diego Giustozzi commented.
