Lien Quan 2 won the championship of MobiFone Hackathon 2023

The program was attended by Mr. Tran Dang Khoa - Deputy Director in charge of operations, Department of Information Security; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan - Member of the Board of Members of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation. Along with that was the participation of leaders, experts of units under the Corporation, and representatives of sponsors.

MobiFone Hackathon is a practical information security drill competition, organized by MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation for the first time in 2021. Returning for the second season, the competition has the participation of 6 teams with a total of 24 members from 18 units under the Corporation. The goal of the competition is to raise awareness of information security risks and measures.

The competition demonstrates MobiFone's commitment to ensuring everyone in the organization is capable of handling information security situations professionally.

In MobiFone Hackathon 2023, the Organizing Committee built a simulation of an information security attack situation with two main tasks to handle, which are Malware Analysis and Web Vulnerability Investigation.

After 6 hours of continuous competition, MobiFone Hackathon 2023 found the champion, Team No. 2 with 4 members: Vu Xuan Hai, Tran Manh Tien (MobiFone Billing and Liquidity Center); Tran Van Trinh (MobiFone Telecommunication Equipment Testing and Repair Center) and Ho Hoang Huy (MobiFone Southern Network Center). The team achieved an extremely spectacular total score of 1975.

Second Prize went to Team No. 4 with members from MobiFone Digital Service Center, MobiFone Service Company Region 5 and MobiFone Service Company Region 5. The remaining teams tied for third place in the competition.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan - Member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation said: The Information Security Practice Competition is a valuable opportunity to train MobiFone officers and employees. It not only focuses on providing knowledge about information security but also encourages creative thinking and effective situation handling.

With the spirit of continuous effort and trying, MobiFone will certainly soon put its name on the map of Vietnam's information infrastructure, contributing to the development of Vietnam's economy as well as MobiFone's customers will have a very high level of safety when using MobiFone's products.

Sharing at the contest, Mr. Tran Dang Khoa - Deputy Director in charge of operations, Department of Information Security affirmed that MobiFone is a major telecommunications network operator in Vietnam. Previously, MobiFone had leading strengths in Vietnam, but due to some reasons, those strengths are showing signs of decline. The problem now is to promote digital transformation, information security or new spatial areas. Let's turn it into a driving force for MobiFone to develop, break through, regain what MobiFone once had, and even develop further.

Along with that is the initiative in performing assigned tasks. In particular, MobiFone people have love, dedication and pride in the MobiFone brand. He also added that as a leading telecommunications enterprise, MobiFone and many other telecommunications enterprises will together carry out the mission of ensuring information security, according to the National Information Security Strategy.

MobiFone Hackathon 2023 creates a real-world testing environment, helping teams practice their skills, develop quick-response thinking, and learn how to recognize and respond to potential risks.
