Team 2 wins the MobiFone Hackathon 2023 championship.

The program was attended by Mr. Tran Dang Khoa - Deputy Director in charge of operations, Department of Information Security; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan - Member of the Board of Directors of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation. Also present were leaders and specialists from various units of the Corporation, and representatives of the sponsors.

The MobiFone Hackathon is a practical cybersecurity training competition organized by MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation, first held in 2021. Returning for its second season, the competition features 6 teams with a total of 24 members from 18 units under the Corporation. The goal of the competition is to raise awareness of risks and measures to protect information security.

The competition demonstrates MobiFone's commitment to ensuring that everyone in the organization is capable of handling information security situations professionally.

In MobiFone Hackathon 2023, the organizers created a simulated scenario of a cybersecurity attack with two main tasks to handle: malware analysis and web vulnerability exploitation investigation.

After 6 hours of continuous competition, MobiFone Hackathon 2023 found its champion: Team No. 2, consisting of 4 members: Vu Xuan Hai, Tran Manh Tien (MobiFone Billing and Payment Center); Tran Van Trinh (MobiFone Telecommunications Equipment Testing and Repair Center); and Ho Hoang Huy (MobiFone Southern Network Center). The team achieved an impressive total score of 1975.

Second prize went to Team No. 4, with members from MobiFone Digital Service Center, MobiFone Service Company Region 5, and MobiFone Service Company Region 5. The remaining teams shared third place in the competition.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan – Member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation – said: The Information Security Practical Exercise Competition is a valuable opportunity to train MobiFone's officers and employees. It not only focuses on providing knowledge about information security but also encourages creative thinking and effective problem-solving.

With a spirit of continuous effort and dedication, MobiFone will surely soon make its mark on Vietnam's information infrastructure map, contributing to the development of the Vietnamese economy and ensuring a high level of security for MobiFone customers when using MobiFone's products.

Speaking at the competition, Mr. Tran Dang Khoa, Deputy Director in charge of operations at the Information Security Department, affirmed that MobiFone is a major telecommunications network in Vietnam. Previously, MobiFone held leading strengths in Vietnam, but due to several reasons, those strengths are showing signs of decline. The challenge now is to accelerate digital transformation, information security, and explore new areas. Let's turn these into driving forces for MobiFone's development, breakthroughs, regaining what it once had, and even surpassing it.

MobiFone Hackathon 2023 created a real-world testing environment, helping participating teams hone their skills, develop quick thinking and reaction abilities, and learn how to identify and respond to potential risks.

With the successful organization of the information security practical exercise competition, MobiFone affirms its commitment to improving information security and training quality for its staff.
