While the public was "scrutinizing" Lisa's outfit, which was considered inelegant, Vogue released a 5-minute behind-the-scenes clip recording the singer's final fitting with the appearance of Creative Director Pharrell Williams.

Lisa shared that she was very nervous about her first time walking the Met Gala red carpet, explaining why she didn't wear pants or why she chose a black handbag instead of her favorite yellow, as well as how to match her accessories with her outfit. The singer also admired the high-quality fabric with extremely delicate human face patterns and asked the camera to zoom in.

Lisa said to the camera: "I can wear pants, but do we want to do that? Should we try something crazy, more interesting?". On Instagram, where she has more than 106 million followers, Lisa shared that she was honored to attend the Met Gala for the first time wearing a Louis Vuitton outfit to honor the artwork of Henry Taylor designed by Pharrell Williams.

This year's Met Gala dress code theme, Tailored for You, was inspired by the Superfine: Tailoring Black Style fashion exhibition that will be on view at the Metropolitan Museum in the summer of 2025. The exhibition celebrates traditional tailoring techniques developed in the black community.

Pharrell Williams said the outfit he designed for Lisa was in keeping with this year's Met Gala theme and the design on Lisa was a true work of art because the lace recreated the details of an artwork by American artist Henry Taylor.
