According to Ms. Le Hanh - Production Director of Shark Tank Vietnam: "Coming to Vietnam in 2017, after 6 seasons of broadcasting, Shark Tank with the name of Billion Dollar Deal has introduced 291 business models to investors (sharks) and successfully connected 174 deals, more than 60 startups have received capital from investors inside and outside the program. From that exciting result, this year Shark Tank Vietnam is very happy to invite many new investors, very enthusiastic and experienced in the market to join the investment council".
Who are the new "sharks"?
First is shark Tillman Schulz (German). He is known as the 3rd generation businessman of MDS Group - a large multi-industry corporation in Germany, and is also a young, dynamic "lion" (investor) of The Lion's Den program (a TV program of VOX channel, Germany, similar to Shark Tank).

Joining the "shark tank" for the first time, shark Nguyen Van Thai draws on his 10-year entrepreneurial journey to find startups in the cosmetics industry.

Starting his career in banking, Tillman founded his own company in 2015 and took over the entire MDS Group in 2020. He became a professional investor in 2019 when he founded Evenmore Ventures.
"I prioritize looking for startups operating in the fields of food , pharmaceuticals, and fast-moving consumer goods with potential for export to international markets," shared shark Tillman Schulz.
Shark Nguyen Phi Van is looking for investment opportunities in startups that are oriented towards chain development and franchising, aiming to export Vietnamese values to the international market. With many years of experience holding senior positions in brand management, retail, franchising and business development for large corporations, Ms. Nguyen Phi Van - Chairman of Go Global Holdings and Chairman of Go Global Franchise Fund - an investment fund dedicated to startups, small and medium enterprises in the franchising and licensing industry is also opening its doors to startups.
Shark Tank Vietnam season 7 also has the President of Weangels Capital Investment Fund Le My Nga. Ms. Nga chose to invest in the 'angel' stage for startups applying technology to create new values for the market. Shark Le My Nga said: "I will make investment decisions based on the following criteria: the founder demonstrates passion and determination to turn dreams into reality; the product has a community that users around the world need. Especially the ability to apply science and technology to solve problems in economic sectors, helping to create new values for the market".

Joining the "shark tank" for the first time, shark Nguyen Van Thai - co-founder and Vice President of Thai Huong Group, with his 10-year startup experience, will prioritize looking for startups in the field of cosmetics. "I understand that to create big changes in the cosmetics industry, startups not only need capital, but also need comprehensive support in technology, production capacity, management and sales distribution... With the ecosystem we have available, we want to accompany startups to conquer the market and reach out to the world ," said shark Nguyen Van Thai.
Shark Tank Vietnam season 7 (produced by the Center for Digital Content Production and Development - VTV Digital in collaboration with TV Hub) will air at 8:30 p.m. every Monday on VTV3, starting July 29.
