Ring Road 4 Project of the Capital Region
On the morning of June 25, the Ring Road 4 project of the Capital Region was started simultaneously in Hanoi, Hung Yen and Bac Ninh. This is a project that plays an important role in regional connectivity, ensuring connectivity between neighboring localities and Hanoi city.
In Hanoi, the four starting points include the intersection between Ring Road 4 and National Highway 2, in Thanh Xuan Commune, Soc Son District; the intersection with Thang Long Boulevard, in Song Phuong Commune, Hoai Duc District; the southern axis intersection at Km45+700, in Tam Hung Commune, Thanh Oai District and the intersection with the old National Highway 1A at Km52+600, in Van Binh Commune, Thuong Tin District.
Bac Ninh province held a groundbreaking ceremony at Km35+200 of the Noi Bai - Ha Long expressway connecting section, Khac Niem ward, Bac Ninh city.
Hung Yen province chose Van Giang district as the starting point for the Ring Road 4 project passing through the province.

The investment project to build the 4th Ring Road in the Hanoi Capital Region includes 7 component projects (3 compensation, support and resettlement projects; 3 investment projects to build parallel roads (urban roads) in the form of public investment and 1 investment project to build an expressway in the form of public-private partnership (PPP).
The total length of the project is approximately 113 km. Of which, the section in Hanoi is approximately 58.2 km; the section in Hung Yen province is approximately 19.3 km; and the section in Bac Ninh province is approximately 35.3 km.
The project is invested in diverging the expressway with a scale of 4/6 lanes, speed limit of 80 km/h with a width of 17 m. Investing in diverging parallel roads (discontinuous) with a scale of 12 m on each side. The total investment of the project is more than 85.8 trillion VND.
According to plan, the project will be basically completed in 2026 and put into operation from 2027.
Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway Project
Also on June 25, the 27km Cao Lanh - An Huu expressway project, passing through Dong Thap and Tien Giang, with a total cost of more than VND5,880 billion, was started.

Of the total length of the route, more than 16 km passes through Dong Thap province, the rest is in Tien Giang. The project starts at the intersection of My An - Cao Lanh expressway in Cao Lanh district (Dong Thap), and ends at the Central - My Thuan expressway in Cai Be district (Tien Giang).
The project is divided into 2 components, Component 1 is 16km long, passing through Dong Thap province, with a total investment of over 3,600 billion VND. Component 2 is 11.4km long, located in Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces, with an investment of over 2,200 billion VND.
The scale of the completed phase cross-section meets the standards of a 4-lane highway. The cross-section of phase 1 is divided into 4 lanes, with a roadbed width of 17m and an operating speed of 80km/h.
Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 and 2 Expressways Project
On the morning of June 18, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committees of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Dak Lak provinces coordinated with the Ministry of Transport to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Phase 1 and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Phase 1.
Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project has a total length of 76.3km, passing through 4 localities: Ho Chi Minh City (47.35km), Dong Nai province (11.26km), Binh Duong province (10.76km), Long An province (6.81km).

The project is divided into 8 component projects, each locality will do two projects including construction and site clearance. The project has a total investment of 75,378 billion VND, from the central budget and local budgets.
The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project Phase 1 has a total preliminary investment of 17,837 billion VND, divided into 3 component projects, of which, Dong Nai province implements a 16km long section, the Ministry of Transport implements 18.2km, and the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province implements a 19.5km long section.
The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway phase 1 is 117.5km long (passing through Khanh Hoa province for 32.7km and Dak Lak province for 84.8km). The project has a total preliminary investment of VND21,935 billion, invested from the central and local budgets.
The project is divided into 3 component projects, the Ministry of Transport will build a 37.5km section, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee will build a 32km section, and Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee will build a 48km section.
The first horizontal highway in the West
On June 17, the Ministry of Transport held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project, phase 1, with a total length of 188.2 km passing through 4 provinces and cities: An Giang, Can Tho, Hau Giang and Soc Trang. The starting point connects to National Highway 91 in Chau Doc City, An Giang Province. The end point intersects with Nam Song Hau National Highway, connecting to the Tran De Port access road (Soc Trang).
The total investment is 44,691 billion VND from the central and local budgets. In phase 1, the project will be invested in a 4-lane scale, with a design speed of 100km/h. In the final phase, the project will be invested in a 6-lane scale.

The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project is divided into 4 component projects managed by 4 localities where the project passes through. Of which, component project 1 in An Giang province is 57.2km long, component project 2 in Can Tho city is 37.2km long, component project 3 in Hau Giang province is nearly 37km long and component project 4 in Soc Trang province is 56.9km long.
The project is invested in construction to form a central horizontal axis of the Mekong Delta region through Can Tho City, An Giang, Hau Giang and Soc Trang provinces, connecting vertical axes, promoting the effectiveness of invested projects, connecting economic centers, international border gates and seaports, meeting transportation needs on the Northwest - Southeast economic corridor.
The project is also expected to create space, momentum, and development space for the Mekong Delta region with a synchronous and modern technical and social infrastructure system.
According to the plan, the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang road project phase 1 will basically complete some sections with high traffic volume in 2025, basically complete the entire route in 2026 and complete and put the entire project into synchronous operation in 2027.
