Brigade 682 gives gifts to poor students before the new school year

On the morning of August 21, the working delegation of Brigade 682 (Naval Region 4 Command) led by Colonel Pham Quang Trung, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Brigade 682, and Lieutenant Colonel Bui Duc Khanh, Deputy Brigade Commander, Chief of Staff of Brigade 682, visited and presented gifts to Mai Nhat Phi, a 6th grade student at Tran Quoc Toan Secondary School (Tuy Hoa ward).

On the occasion of the new school year 2025 - 2026, the unit gave the student a set of desks and chairs, a school bag, textbooks and a gift worth 3.5 million VND.

Mai Nhat Phi is the third child in a family of four children. His father died in a sea accident, his mother worked hard to raise him, and the family's circumstances were very difficult.

Since the beginning of 2024, Phi has been sponsored by Brigade 682 under the program “The Navy sponsors fishermen’s children”. Every month, Brigade 682, the Navy and Team Chau Phi support him with 1.5 million VND. In addition, he also receives a bicycle and many gifts on holidays and Tet with a total value of 8 million VND.

This activity demonstrates the affection and responsibility of Navy officers and soldiers towards fishermen's children, helping them overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.

Colonel Pham Quang Trung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Brigade 682, said that over the years, Brigade 682 has always accompanied fishermen with specific actions, from supporting fishing at sea, protecting traditional fishing grounds to sponsoring and caring for children in difficult circumstances.

“For Mai Nhat Phi, the unit’s care is not only gifts, but also affection and sharing to give him more support in his studies and life. We hope that from this companionship, he will be more confident on the way to school and the relationship between the army and the people will become increasingly stronger,” said Colonel Pham Quang Trung.
