Mrs. Tran Thi Tinh is the younger sister of martyr Tran Van An, who died in 1967 during the resistance war against the US to save the country. Mrs. Tinh herself is a 3/4 disabled veteran, with her right leg amputated due to being shot by the enemy during the resistance war against the US to save the country.
The old house where Mrs. Tinh lives and worships her brother has deteriorated and is at risk of being unsafe during the storm season. However, due to difficult conditions, it is not possible to build a new, solid house.
The Navy and Brigade 83 supported the family with 80 million VND from the “Repaying Gratitude” Fund. After the construction period, the house was completed on schedule.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Colonel Tran Thuc, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Brigade 83, said that this is a practical act of the officers and soldiers of the Navy and Brigade 83, to show gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
On this occasion, Brigade 83 and local authorities presented gifts to Ms. Tinh's family.
