Nghe An militia and self-defense force has constantly trained and matured; fought bravely, worked diligently, creatively... and made many contributions to building a strong and comprehensive locality.

To fulfill its mission well, Nghe An militia and self-defense force has constantly focused on building forces, political education, military training... improving all aspects of capacity, contributing to building a national defense, associated with a solid people's security posture. To date, 787 units in the province have organized militia forces, including 412 militia units and 375 self-defense units, with 47,410 comrades, from all branches and services, accounting for 1.4% of the population; 29.3% of party members. Every year, tens of thousands of citizens of militia age are registered.
