On the afternoon of May 1, when most tourists had left Da Lat after the 5-day April 30 and May 1 holidays, the Da Lat City People's Committee announced tourism statistics.
Accordingly, the Da Lat tourist area (Da Lat and neighboring districts such as Duc Trong, Don Duong, Lac Duong) has about 170,000 visitors coming to visit and relax, an increase of 41.7% over the same period in 2023.

Representatives of the People's Committee of Da Lat City expressed surprise when the number of visitors to Da Lat exceeded expectations (100,000 visitors) by 70%.
Da Lat was caught up in incorrect weather assessments and fake news of "riots and major changes". Therefore, when finalizing the data, the Da Lat City People's Committee was surprised by the growth rate of tourism.
According to this unit, in 2022 and 2023, the number of tourists coming to Da Lat during the April 30 and May 1 holidays will be very low, even equivalent to weekends.
Mr. Le Anh Kiet, Head of the Department of Culture and Information (Da Lat City People's Committee), said: "There were many unfavorable factors for Da Lat during the recent peak tourist season, but the cool climate of Da Lat has made Da Lat tourism a choice for tourists."

Mr. Kiet explained that the number of visitors increased but the inner city of Da Lat did not appear overloaded: "The 5 days of visitors come alternately, so the total number of visitors at the same time is not too high like during Tet. In addition, Da Lat tourism is currently developing according to regional linkages.
That is, Da Lat is the center for welcoming guests, eating and resting, but the new tourist area is suitable for young people, while most of the tourist groups are in the suburbs and neighboring districts. Therefore, the flow of tourists has changed compared to the previous period.

Lam Dong Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism acknowledged that major entertainment events have helped tourists have a place to play and relieve stress after coming to Da Lat to escape the heat.
From April 27 to May 1, in the inner city of Da Lat, there will be 5 well-invested, free community events: Da Lat Music Festival 2024 - Sweet Love; Final round of the outdoor dance festival "Dalat Best Dance Crew 2024 - Hoa Sen Home International Cup"; concert by 2 artists Anna Koch and zither artist Thu Quyen at Pho Ben Doi Creative Studio (No. 10 Ly Tu Trong, Da Lat).

Room occupancy in Da Lat city center reaches 80%
The People's Committee of Da Lat City (Lam Dong) said that during the April 30 and May 1 holidays in 2024, Da Lat city welcomed about 170,000 tourists.
Of which, international visitors are estimated at 7,200, up 60% over the same period in 2023; domestic visitors are estimated at 162,800, up 41% over the same period in 2023, and overnight visitors are estimated at 115,000, up 47.4% over the same period in 2023.
The average room occupancy rate of 1-5 star hotels is about 80%, other types of hotels are about 75%. The number of guests staying at accommodation establishments in the city is concentrated from April 27 to 29.
