This is quite a large amount of money for a female futsal team, especially in the context that the FAT is going through a very difficult period, with heavy debt.

Thailand has a chance to win the Asian championship

Perhaps the bonuses for the Thai women's futsal team at this year's Asian championship have not stopped yet. If Thailand wins the Asian final, which will take place in 2 days, they will continue to receive more bonuses from Madam Pang.

Previously, Madam Pang had paid 25 million baht (about 19.5 billion VND) to pay off the debt to FAT. This was a deposit for the creditor, an economic group in Thailand, to help FAT avoid having its assets confiscated by this group, or they would report to the authorities to freeze FAT's assets.

As for the Thai women's futsal team, this team is still undefeated at the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship. They beat Bahrain 4-0, drew Indonesia 0-0, beat Japan 3-1 in the group stage, beat Hong Kong (China) 5-2 in the quarterfinals and beat China 3-2 in the semi-finals. Thailand's opponent in the final will be the winner of the other semi-final match between Japan and Iran.

The achievement of reaching the final is also the best achievement in the history of Thai women's futsal in the Asian championship. In the tournaments in 2015 and 2018, the Thai women's futsal team ranked 3rd overall.

Thailand meets Japan in Asian futsal final

In the second semi-final on the evening of May 15, Japan defeated Iran 3-2. Japan entered the Asian final to face Thailand. At the same time, the cherry blossom team also won a ticket to the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal World Cup. In the third-place match, host China met Iran. The winner of this match will take the remaining ticket to represent Asia at the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup.
