Madam Pang announced strict punishment for Thai player beating referee

(Dan Tri) - Regarding the incident in which Thai referee Siwakorn Singthana was assaulted during a football match in the Land of the Golden Temple, President of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) Madam Pang wants to handle it seriously.

Previously, referee Siwakorn Singthana was attacked by a player during a recent match in the Land of the Golden Pagoda. After being beaten, referee Siwakorn Singthana had to be hospitalized and he filed a police report.

Immediately after learning of the incident, FAT President Nualphan Lamsam (commonly known as Madam Pang) said she firmly opposed all forms of violence on the pitch.

In addition, according to Madam Pang, although this match is outside the tournament system managed by FAT, Mr. Siwakorn Singthana is a referee under the FAT Referee Board. Therefore, the Football Association of Thailand will pay all hospital fees for referee Siwakorn Singthana.

Specifically, referee Siwakorn Singthana is currently a referee at Thai-League 3, a tournament in the professional football system of the Land of the Golden Temple.

In addition, Madam Pang has directed the FAT Secretariat and Referee Board to coordinate with relevant authorities to support legal procedures to handle the player who attacked referee Siwakorn Singthana in accordance with the provisions of law.

Speaking to the Thai media, Madam Pang affirmed: “I do not support any form of violence, both on and off the field. We hope that any football tournament held in Thailand, managed or co-organized by FAT, or mobilizing personnel to participate in the organization, will not have any recurrence of violence.”

“I don't want to see similar incidents like this happen in the future on Thai football fields,” Madam Pang emphasized.
