Mai Tien Dung responds when being said to sing "corny" and sentimental

At the end of the Mask Singer program, Mai Tien Dung received a lot of love and attention from the audience. Many people commented that he has a voice rich in emotions, warm, touching people's hearts. However, there were also comments that the male singer had a sentimental singing style, still quite "corny", not suitable for the public's taste.

Sharing about this, Mai Tien Dung admitted that he used to "frame" himself with very strict standards and did not really listen to the audience.

"I always believe that when bringing any music product to the audience, it must be of the highest quality, from the arrangement to the vocals and singing style. After a period of working, I am still trying little by little, adjusting the standards I set to suit the tastes and contributions and comments from the audience," he confided.

During the MV launch of Du Khoc Mot Dong Song on the afternoon of April 21, Mai Tien Dung said that in the new product, he wanted to change his singing style a bit. The male singer focused on expressing his emotions naturally and tried to control some singing habits as much as possible.

"When performing ballads, I rarely use vocal techniques, but instead tell stories and confide in the audience. Many times, I even imagine someone in front of me to confide in and talk to, from which I use my own stories and emotions to convey to the listeners. With future products, I will continue to try to balance between who I am and what the audience loves and expects from me," the male singer said.

Mai Tien Dung was born in 1988 in Ho Chi Minh City and moved to the US at the age of 11. His musical career began when he participated in a singing contest overseas in 2007. The male singer has released many singles such as: Tonight I Want Star, Waiting for Another Life, Don't Ask About Me, Moon Flower...

In 2017, Mai Tien Dung decided to return to Vietnam. He participated in a number of shows, including The Remix season 3 and then the first season of Mask Singer .
