At the visit, Mr. Bui Thanh Liem, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, presented 20 million VND in support to Meritorious Teacher Manh Dung and 15 million VND to Meritorious Artist Thanh Dau.
"We appreciate your contributions in the field of teaching, as well as artistic activities for the city in particular and the country in general. We wish you good health and hope that you will continue to teach the next generation, and contribute to the better development of the art field you are participating in," said Mr. Bui Thanh Liem.
Mr. Bui Thanh Liem added that on the occasion of the 25th Mai Vang Award ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater, the Editorial Board of the Lao Dong Newspaper thought of a meaningful and humane content, which is to support artists, artisans... who have made many contributions to the country's cultural and artistic field.
Most of them are old and have poor health, so their economic life is difficult. On the occasion of launching the "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" program, Nam A Bank was the first unit to support the program with 1 billion VND at that time.
During the implementation process, the program "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" was renamed "Mai Vang Tri An" to expand the recipients of support ( scientists , scholars, intellectuals...). Up to now, the program "Mai Vang Tri An" implemented by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper has cared for and visited nearly 900 artists, scholars and intellectuals across the country.
The total cost to date is nearly 2.7 billion VND, with additional funding from Nam A Bank and social activities of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.
Mr. Bui Thanh Liem, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, presented gifts to Meritorious Artist Manh Dung and Meritorious Artist Thanh Dau.

Meritorious Artist Thanh Dau said: "I thank Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper for caring about artists' families, specifically my wife and I. I am happy and proud. Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper does this work very broadly to many artists, but as for my family, my younger sister, People's Artist Thanh Vy, and my younger brother, Meritorious Artist - musician Van Hai, also received support.
My father is a zither artist Ba Van, my mother is a clown Van Qui, both of whom are from the Kim Chung troupe. Most of my family chose to pursue art, so I am very grateful to Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper for organizing a program to care for artists."
Meritorious Artist Manh Dung and Meritorious Artist Thanh Dau shared their feelings at the visit.
Meritorious Artist Manh Dung was moved to express that at the age of 85, receiving attention from the "Mai Vang Tri An" program of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper was extremely emotional.
