In the rest of the first half, most of the dangerous opportunities belonged to Jordan. One of them was converted into a goal by the representative of the Middle East region. In the 32nd minute, Mahmoud Al-Mardi completed Jordan's counter-attack with a close-range shot to increase the score to 3-0.
In the second half, Malaysia pushed up their formation to find a goal to shorten the gap. However, the Southeast Asian representative's attack was ineffective and could not score.
