Money dispute, murdered cousin

On August 28, Colonel Le Hong Thang, Head of the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes of Hai Phong City Police, confirmed that this unit is coordinating with Kien Thuy District Police to clarify the case of a person being murdered, which occurred in Ngu Phuc Commune late yesterday afternoon.

The suspect Nguyen Duy Hoang (30 years old) has been arrested. He and the victim Nguyen Duy Trung (28 years old) live in the same village of Xuan Dong, Ngu Phuc commune (Kien Thuy district).

Earlier, at around 4:30 p.m. on August 27, residents of Xuan Dong village, Ngu Phuc commune discovered suspect Hoang using a sharp knife to stab Mr. Trung multiple times. The incident occurred right on the bank of a pond at the beginning of the alley, about 50 meters from the victim's house.

Mr. Trung was stabbed many times and tried to run back to his house but died.

Immediately after receiving the report, Ngu Phuc Commune Police and Kien Thuy District Police blocked off the scene and arrested Nguyen Duy Hoang.

Autopsy results showed that the victim Trung was stabbed 9 times in the neck, chest, back, abdomen...

The motive for the murder, according to the initial statement of suspect Hoang, was related to a conflict over money. It is known that Hoang is the victim's uncle.

The murder case is currently being investigated and clarified by Hai Phong City Police.
