Images of a Chinese fighter jet with a unique design seen for the first time have become a topic of discussion among military observers.
Photos and videos circulated on social media on December 26 of a never-before-seen aircraft undergoing test flights. Social media users speculated that this could be a sixth-generation fighter jet being developed by the Chinese military. The time and location of the sighting have not been confirmed.
The image shows the design of the aircraft has a "futuristic" feel, with extended wings and an overall triangular appearance. According to the military website The War Zone , the notable point of the mysterious aircraft above is the design without a tail.

Technically, removing the tail design would reduce the radar cross section, thereby increasing the stealth of the aircraft and allowing it to operate further due to reduced aerodynamic drag. However, the current top 5th generation fighters of the world's leading powers still retain the vertical tail design, because it helps the aircraft stabilize in turning situations. Removing the tail would significantly reduce maneuverability, and the question of whether modern fighters should "go all in" on stealth at the expense of other technical factors is still a topic of debate.
The UK Defence Journal said the aircraft engine has a multi-intake design that is said to increase speed and stealth.
Chinese officials have not commented on the aircraft, although some social media outlets are inclined to believe that it is a new fighter jet that Beijing will introduce in the near future, especially if it flies alongside China's J-20S fighter.
