Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Ngo Vu Thang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, said that this relic site is not only a cultural work with historical value, but also a place to organize activities about the source, educate patriotic traditions; at the same time serving research, sightseeing and collecting more historical artifacts and documents. After being put into use, the work will be managed and operated by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Tran Phan commune.
The victory of Dam Doi - Cai Nuoc - Cha La took place on November 23, 1963, when the army and people of Ca Mau simultaneously attacked and destroyed the Cai Nuoc - Dam Doi sub-region and the Cha La stronghold, defeating the US's special war plot in the key area of the southernmost region of the Fatherland. In 2016, this site was recognized as a national historical relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

After more than half a century, that feat has been recreated in a large-scale, modern project, combining historical values and solemn memorial space. The inauguration event not only recognizes the local investment efforts, but also demonstrates the responsibility to pay tribute to the generations who sacrificed for national independence, contributing to fostering pride and awareness of preserving revolutionary heritage in the hearts of Ca Mau people today.
