Successfully rescued an old man who fell into a deep well in the field.

While working in the fields, the old man fell into an abandoned well about 12 meters deep in an acacia plantation. Fortunately, the police found him and successfully rescued him.

On the evening of October 15, Mr. Phan Van Hoa (born in 1962, residing in Vinh Thuan village, Phu My Bac commune, Gia Lai province) was still being monitored and actively treated by doctors at the hospital and had overcome the critical stage.

Previously, at 7:00 p.m. on October 14, Phu My Bac Commune Police received a report that Mr. Phan Van Hoa had gone to work in the fields since the morning of the same day but had not returned home by evening. After receiving the information, Phu My Bac Commune Police organized a verification and determined that Mr. Hoa had an accident while working in the fields.

Immediately after that, Major Tran Van Nam, Chief of the Commune Police, directly commanded the Commune Police force of 22 comrades and 79 comrades from the local Security and Order Teams, militia and people to search for the victim. However, due to the darkness, the search had no results.

The location where the victim was found was very dangerous so the forces had to take turns carrying the victim out.

Early in the morning of October 15, the forces continued to expand the search area. At 8:50 a.m., the police discovered Mr. Hoa lying at the bottom of an abandoned well about 12 meters deep and 1 meter in diameter. The abandoned well was located in a hybrid acacia plantation of the people of Tan Oc village, Phu My Bac commune, and the well had no walls, and the well mouth was covered by trees, making it very difficult to detect.

Through investigation, the police determined that Mr. Hoa was lying motionless but still breathing weakly, and if left for long, his life would be in danger. However, due to the difficult terrain and lack of specialized equipment, the Commune Police contacted the professional force of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Gia Lai Provincial Police) for support.

Police and local authorities visited the hospital and gave gifts to encourage the victims.

Thanks to the effective coordination between the deployed forces, by 10:50 a.m. the same day, the rescue team had brought Mr. Hoa safely to the ground. Afterwards, the victim continued to be taken to the emergency room at Bong Son Regional General Hospital, Gia Lai province.

Major Tran Van Nam, Chief of Phu My Bac Commune Police, said that this evening, the Commune Police and the Commune People's Committee visited the hospital to visit the family and give gifts to the victim. Currently, Mr. Hoa's health has gradually stabilized and he is being monitored and treated by doctors.
