Information from the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Province this afternoon (October 16) confirmed that a foreign tourist drowned at sea in Nha Trang and was promptly rescued by the unit's Waterway Traffic Police.

The incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. the same day, when the Waterway Traffic Police Team No. 1, under the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Province, received a report from local residents that a foreign tourist was drowning while swimming in the sea in front of Bach Dang Park, Nha Trang Ward.

Immediately, the commander of Waterway Traffic Police Team No. 1 mobilized Major, Captain Nguyen Le Thanh Tung, to control the canoe carrying two colleagues to quickly leave the shore, steering the boat toward where the victim was drowning.

With experience in performing water rescue missions, 3 traffic police officers promptly approached, rescued the victim and brought him safely to shore.

Through verification, it was known that the victim was Denis (born 2001), a Moldovan national, who was traveling to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.
