The conference was attended by the officers of the mass organizations (Veterans' Association, Women's Association, Elderly Association, Youth Union, etc.), hamlet chiefs, prestigious people in the community, officials, civil servants, employees of the People's Committee of Muong Thanh commune and ethnic minority people residing in the commune. Muong Thanh commune (new) was established on the basis of merging 4 communes including Thach Yen, Dung Phong, Nam Phong, Tay Phong.

The Muong ethnic group in Muong Thanh commune accounts for 88.1% of the commune's population, and is one of the four regions with large Muong ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province (old). The training conference aims to equip ethnic minority people, officials and related individuals with knowledge about legal aid, bringing legal aid activities closer to the people, helping them fully and correctly understand their rights and legitimate interests if they are eligible for legal aid.
Ms. Le Thi Thuy, Director of the Center for Legal Information and Support, Legal Aid, Department of Dissemination, Legal Education and Legal Aid, Ministry of Justice , a reporter at the conference, presented key content on policies and information on legal aid such as: Subjects eligible for free legal aid; how to request legal aid; legal fields eligible for legal aid; how to contact organizations providing legal aid; how to contact the Department of Dissemination, Legal Education and Legal Aid.
In addition to presenting the regulations on legal aid, the reporter also presented a number of practical legal situations commonly encountered in the locality and how to handle them in accordance with legal regulations, showed videos on legal aid that were broadcast on the media, raised questions for people to exchange, discuss and guide, and answer people's questions related to policies and regulations on legal aid, helping attendees to easily remember and apply in practice. At the conference, delegates discussed difficulties and problems with the law in general and the law on legal aid in particular, including legal aid procedures and subjects eligible for legal aid.
Organizing training conferences on legal aid not only helps union branch officials, prestigious people in the community and related individuals and organizations improve their legal knowledge on legal aid, but also creates conditions for them to promote their role as a bridge to bring the law on legal aid closer to the people, especially ethnic minorities and other vulnerable groups such as the poor, people with meritorious services to the revolution, etc.
The training conference to raise awareness of legal aid in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in Muong Thanh commune, Phu Tho province is considered a practical activity, contributing to improving the capacity of the team of union branch officials, prestigious people in the community at the grassroots level and related individuals.
Together with other conferences, the conference contributed to the effective implementation of the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, bringing the free legal aid policy closer to the community, so that people eligible for legal aid when in need can enjoy free legal aid services, demonstrating the profound humanitarian spirit of the legal aid policy, contributing to ensuring human rights and citizens' rights in access to justice and equality before the law.
