Closing ceremony of the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term

On the afternoon of October 17, after 3 days of serious and urgent work, promoting the spirit of democracy, solidarity and a high sense of responsibility towards the Party Committee and the People of the Capital, the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term completed all its contents and held its closing session with the participation of 550 delegates representing nearly 500,000 Party members of the entire City Party Committee.

In her closing speech at the Congress, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that with the theme "Promoting the thousand-year-old tradition of civilization and heroism; uniting to build a clean and strong Party Committee; pioneering breakthroughs in the new era; developing a civilized, modern and happy Capital", along with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development" and absorbing valuable instructions from General Secretary To Lam, the delegates attending the Congress promoted their intelligence and responsibility, focused on discussing and supplementing with high consensus and unanimity, passing the Congress Resolution with goals, 5 development perspectives, 4 groups of targets with 43 specific targets, 3 breakthroughs and 10 key tasks and solutions of the City Party Committee in the period 2025 - 2030 and vision to 2045.

The documents approved by the 18th Congress are the crystallization of wisdom, demonstrating a deep awareness of the important position and role of the Capital; demonstrating the will, belief, determination, requirements, expectations and aspirations of the entire Party Committee and people of Hanoi for the construction and development of the Capital in the new context; affirming the position and pioneering role, accompanying the whole country in the era of national development. The Congress assigned the Executive Committee of the City Party Committee, term XVIII, 2025 - 2030, to absorb the opinions and suggestions of the delegates to supplement and complete the Resolution of the Congress, promulgate and promptly organize its implementation throughout the Party Committee.

The Congress also focused on discussing and contributing to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress; expressing deep confidence that the 14th National Party Congress will be a great success; the country's renewal will continue to be promoted comprehensively and synchronously with greater achievements; our entire Party, army and people will certainly successfully achieve the goal of bringing the country forward in the era of prosperous development, building Vietnam into a "Rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization".

According to the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, it is forecasted that in the coming time, the world and regional situation will continue to develop complicatedly. Besides advantages and great opportunities, the city will also face many difficulties and challenges. Thoroughly grasping the direction of General Secretary To Lam, in order to effectively implement the goals and directions for the development of the capital in the new term, right after the Congress, the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee requested the Executive Committee of the 18th City Party Committee, the Party Committees of communes and wards, the Party Committees of Party organizations under the City Party Committee, the agencies, departments and branches of the city to promptly start concretizing and directing, deploying and organizing the synchronous, timely and effective implementation of the Congress Resolution and the action program to implement the Congress Resolution.

Along with that, thoroughly implementing the Resolution of the Congress, the action program of the Congress must be associated with building a specific action program for implementation in each locality and unit, resolutely implementing, doing it quickly, doing it to the end. "In particular, we must be determined to strictly implement the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the City Party Congress, determined to fundamentally resolve and overcome traffic congestion, air pollution, and pollution in rivers," the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee emphasized.

Next, on behalf of the Secretariat, Chief of the City Party Committee Office Tran Thanh Ha presented the draft Resolution of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress, term 2025-2030. 100% of the delegates present voted to pass the Resolution of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
