At the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province, the Vietnam Education Publishing House organized a ceremony to present textbooks to students of schools affected by natural disasters and floods, in order to contribute to supporting students as well as the education sector of Khanh Hoa province to quickly overcome the consequences, overcome difficulties to soon stabilize their studies.

At the first phase of the donation ceremony, the Vietnam Education Publishing House donated 172,000 textbooks worth nearly VND2.6 billion to 89 primary, secondary and high schools severely affected by natural disasters and floods in Khanh Hoa province. In addition, the Vietnam Education Publishing House also donated VND25 million in cash to Nguyen Thai Hoc High School and Nguyen Du Secondary School each to help the schools have more funds to overcome the aftermath of storms and floods.
At the ceremony, Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (a member of the Vietnam Education Publishing House) supported 26,270 English books worth more than 1.4 billion VND. Da Nang Education Book Joint Stock Company (a member of the Vietnam Education Publishing House) supported 50 million VND and reference books for school libraries worth 100 million VND.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr. Dang Thanh Hai - Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Education Publishing House said that the prolonged heavy rains in the South Central and Central Highlands had seriously damaged the facilities of many schools and caused thousands of students to lose their books and school supplies, greatly affecting their learning and living process. In that situation, with social responsibility and profound humanitarian spirit, the leadership, staff and employees of the Vietnam Education Publishing House did not hesitate to face difficulties and did their best to support the students in the shortest time possible. "We hope that, despite the many difficulties and challenges, students will always be confident and strive to study and practice to rise up and mature. NXBGDVN understands that to restore learning habits after natural disasters, it requires not only the efforts of teachers and students, but also the cooperation of the whole community. Therefore, this book donation program is not only a material support, but also demonstrates the spirit of "helping each other", "mutual love" - good values that NXBGDVN has always respected and preserved throughout its 68-year journey of building and developing," said Deputy General Director of NXBGDVN Dang Thanh Hai.


On behalf of the provincial education sector leaders, Mr. Le Dinh Thuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province sent his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Vietnam Education Publishing House, Central Books and Equipment Joint Stock Company, and Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company for accompanying and contributing to helping the provincial education sector overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
After the first phase of book donation program, Vietnam Education Publishing House continues to urgently prepare books for the second phase (including 78 schools) of Khanh Hoa province.
At the same time as donating books to Khanh Hoa, the Vietnam Education Publishing House is still concentrating its efforts and human resources, assigning specific locations to prepare textbooks to support the provinces of Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai and some other disadvantaged provinces so that students can have enough textbooks in the shortest time to serve their studies.
