At the forum, experts analyzed in depth the current state of Vietnam's supporting industry, affirming that this is a time full of potential when many multinational corporations are stepping up their search for new suppliers in the Southeast Asian region. Vietnam is assessed to have clear advantages in terms of investment environment, market attractiveness and increasingly improving production capacity.

However, in addition to opportunities, the supporting industry also faces many challenges as the global supply chain is constantly restructuring, requiring higher product quality, lower logistics costs, green production systems and increasingly popular automation. The gap between domestic enterprise capacity and the requirements of multinational corporations still exists, showing the need for fundamental solutions and long-term strategies.

Many delegates commented that in the past 5 years, the capacity of supporting industry enterprises has made significant progress, especially in the fields of electronic components, precision mechanics and auto parts. However, the level of participation in the global supply chain is still modest, requiring stronger links between domestic enterprises and FDI enterprises.

One of the important contents of the forum is to provide strategic orientation for the development of Vietnam's supporting industry in the period 2026-2035 and an action program for the period 2026-2030. Opinions agreed that increasing the localization rate, investing in innovation, digital transformation and building an effective ecosystem linking businesses - institutes - management agencies are key factors to create a breakthrough for the industry.

The forum also emphasized the role of green transformation and sustainable development. This is considered a mandatory trend for supporting industry enterprises in the future, because international standards on environment and emissions are increasingly strict. Investing in environmentally friendly production systems not only helps enterprises meet partner requirements but also expands opportunities to participate in higher value supply chains.

In the context of increasingly fierce regional competition, delegates affirmed that Vietnam needs to proactively improve the business environment, perfect preferential policies, support access to capital, innovate technology and train high-quality human resources. This is the foundation to enhance national competitiveness, thereby attracting more large corporations and expanding the domestic supplier network.

At the end of the forum, experts and business representatives agreed that linkage is a key factor determining the development of Vietnam's supporting industry. Strengthening the connection between domestic enterprises and FDI corporations, forming industry clusters, sharing standards and technical requirements, and building long-term cooperative relationships will help Vietnamese enterprises become more confident when participating deeply in the global supply chain.
