NXBGDVN spends 20 billion VND to accompany students and schools in flood-affected areas

Faced with serious damage caused by consecutive storms and floods across the country, the Vietnam Education Publishing House (VEP) affirmed its readiness to join hands with the education sector and localities to support textbooks for students and schools in disadvantaged areas and areas affected by natural disasters across the country.

In the context of continuous floods, especially after storms No. 3, 10, 11 and now storms No. 12 and 13, NXBGDVN once again affirms the spirit of "For beloved students - no child is left behind", always ready to accompany and share with students, teachers and schools in difficult areas, areas heavily affected by natural disasters and floods.

Vietnam Education Publishing House supports textbooks in Bac Giang

Since the beginning of the year, the total budget of the Education Publishing House for social work and charity has reached 4.3 billion VND. During the recent storms and floods, the Education Publishing House has donated nearly 200,000 textbooks and cash, worth 3.5 billion VND, to schools and students in the following provinces: Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Nghe An, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Lao Cai, Bac Ninh , Cao Bang, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue.

For example, on November 4, a working delegation of the Vietnam Education Publishing House led by Mr. Nguyen Chi Binh, Deputy General Director, visited and supported schools affected by floods in Bac Ninh province.

It is known that after the two recent storms No. 10 and 11, the education sector in Bac Ninh province was severely affected, including about 100 schools suffering damage with an initial estimated amount of more than 20 billion VND.

Vietnam Education Publishing House donates textbooks in Tuyen Quang

In the spirit of mutual love, NXBGDVN has supported flood-affected schools in Bac Ninh province with 30 million VND in cash and 7,752 textbooks (500 sets) worth nearly 106 million VND. NXBGDVN hopes that this support will help students overcome difficulties and quickly stabilize their studies.

Previously, sharing the difficulties with the province's students, through the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang, the Vietnam Education Publishing House supported the students with textbooks worth about 100 million VND.

Currently, storm No. 13 continues to seriously affect the Central provinces, forecast to cause great damage to infrastructure, especially in schools. In this situation, NXBGDVN has proactively prepared resources and is ready to support affected localities, to help teachers and students stabilize teaching and learning soon after the storm.
