World oil prices rise due to supply concerns
On the morning of December 4 (Vietnam time), Brent crude oil price reached 62.83 USD/barrel and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil price reached 59.15 USD/barrel. Both crude oil prices increased by about 0.3% after falling more than 1% in the previous session.
The rise in oil prices was driven by concerns about risks to Russian oil supplies. A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and a US envoy failed to reach an agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine. Recent attacks by Ukraine on oil export facilities on Russia’s Black Sea coast have added to geopolitical concerns in the energy market.
The rise in oil prices was held back by concerns about oversupply in the US. The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said that crude oil and gasoline reserves in the US both increased. Specifically, crude oil reserves increased by 574,000 barrels, contrary to the forecast of a decrease; gasoline reserves increased by 4.52 million barrels, far exceeding expectations.

Domestic gasoline prices remain stable since the November 27 adjustment period.
In the most recent management period (November 27), domestic gasoline prices decreased simultaneously. The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Gasoline Price Stabilization Fund.
