Groundbreaking ceremony of Tam Sinh Nghia Waste-to-Energy Incineration Plant

Tam Sinh Nghia Waste-to-Energy Incineration Plant is being implemented in two phases to optimize investment and operational efficiency. Phase 1 has a capacity to process 500 tons of waste per day, with a power generation capacity of 10MW/h, expected to provide about 68 million kWh of electricity per year, meeting the needs of more than 18,500 households. The operation of this phase will help reduce about 14,000 tons of CO₂ per year, with a total investment of more than VND 1,586 billion.

Phase 2 of the project increases the processing capacity to 1,500 tons of waste per day, the power generation capacity reaches 30MW/h, providing about 136 million kWh of electricity per year, equivalent to the electricity demand of 37,000 households. At the same time, this phase helps reduce an additional 28,000 tons of CO₂ per year, with a total investment of more than 3,172 billion VND.

Dividing into 2 phases not only helps investors optimize resources but also ensures efficient operation and environmental safety. The project applies SUS - Hitachi Zosen Vonroll technology, which is considered one of the most modern waste treatment technologies in the world , and is being used in many large cities such as Japan, China, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates. This technology meets strict standards on emissions, wastewater and environmental safety, while minimizing negative impacts from waste treatment activities.

With the investment of BCG Energy and technology partners, the plant aims to become one of the most modern and large-scale waste-to-energy facilities in the Mekong region, and at the same time become a symbolic project for green development of Tay Ninh province in the coming years.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Lam acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the investor as well as the synchronous coordination of departments, branches and localities in fully preparing the conditions for the project to start on schedule. He emphasized: Tay Ninh province is committed to creating the most favorable conditions, supporting the investor to implement the project to ensure quality and effective operation.

In order for the project to be effective and contribute positively to the province's development strategy for the period 2025-2035, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units to closely coordinate and monitor the progress and quality of construction. The investor needs to focus resources, fully comply with legal regulations, apply modern technology, be transparent in operating data and coordinate with specialized agencies in managing and operating the factory.

Regarding the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested to strengthen supervision of the implementation of environmental regulations, control of emissions, wastewater and ash and slag treatment, monitor and assess environmental impacts and proactively propose waste management solutions. The People's Committee of Tan Tay commune was assigned to strengthen the management of construction order, ensure security and order, remove difficulties for the project and propagate to create consensus among the people.

Tam Sinh Nghia Waste-to-Energy Incineration Plant is not only a modern waste treatment facility but also plays an important role in the green development strategy of Tay Ninh province. When put into operation, the plant will contribute to reducing the increasing pressure on waste treatment, creating a stable source of electricity for daily life and production, improving the quality of life for people./.
