Comrade Do Trong Nghia (second from right), Provincial Tax Chief, visited and encouraged businesses affected by natural disasters. |
Immediately after the flood receded, the leaders of Thai Nguyen Province Tax Department directly visited and encouraged many seriously affected enterprises, such as Hoang Van Thu Paper Factory, Khanh Vinh Company Limited... The visits not only had the meaning of encouraging spirit but also helped the Tax Department grasp the actual difficulties of enterprises, thereby having a basis to propose and implement appropriate and effective support policies.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Manh, Deputy Director of Thai An Duong Import Export Company Limited and Ms. Vu Thi Hoan, Director of Khanh Vinh Company Limited - Vinamilk Milk Distributor, along with representatives of several businesses shared: The recent storm caused many of their goods and equipment to be deeply flooded, causing great damage. In the most difficult times, we received visits, encouragement and timely guidance on policies from the Tax Department and state agencies. This helped businesses feel more secure and motivated to overcome and soon restore production and business activities.
Previously, on October 14, Thai Nguyen Provincial Tax Department issued a document guiding policies and solutions to support organizations, businesses, business households and individuals suffering losses due to storms No. 10 and No. 11 and post-storm floods. This document provides specific instructions on handling invoices and accounting documents lost or damaged due to natural disasters, as well as policies on tax exemption, reduction and extension for affected subjects. Detailed content is made public on the website of the General Department of Taxation (https://www.gdt.gov.vn) for taxpayers to easily look up and implement.
Along with that, the Head of Thai Nguyen Province Tax sent an Open Letter to all businesses, organizations and individuals in the area, expressing deep sympathy for the damages caused by natural disasters, and at the same time affirming: Thai Nguyen Tax Department always accompanies, listens, shares and supports taxpayers to properly implement tax laws and policies.
Following those activities, on October 16, the Provincial Tax Department held an online conference to guide tax exemption, reduction, and extension policies for taxpayers affected by natural disasters. The conference was connected to all tax points and businesses across the province, attracting more than 3,500 taxpayers to follow.
In the context of many businesses being flooded, machinery, equipment, goods damaged, and workers' lives affected, the timely organization of the guidance conference demonstrates the spirit of "sympathy and sharing" of the Tax sector, as well as the proactiveness and flexibility in implementing the State's support policies.

Thai Nguyen Provincial Tax Department held an online conference on October 16 to guide policies on tax exemption, reduction, and extension for taxpayers affected by natural disasters. |
At the Conference, representatives of the specialized departments of the Provincial Tax Department presented in detail the new regulations on tax exemption, reduction, and extension and provided specific guidance on documents and procedures for taxpayers to enjoy the policy. Many practical problems of enterprises were directly answered, such as procedures for proving damage caused by natural disasters, deadlines for submitting documents, types of taxes applied for support, and plans to extend tax payment during the production recovery period.
Not only is this a policy dissemination conference, it is also a forum for open and humane dialogue between the management agency and taxpayers - where every opinion and concern is listened to and answered. The Provincial Tax Department leader emphasized: The Tax Department will continue to reform and innovate service methods, promote the application of information technology, shorten the time for processing procedures, so that tax policy truly becomes a solid foundation, stimulating the potential for sustainable development of businesses and the province.
In times of difficulty, the timeliness, empathy and sharing of the Thai Nguyen Tax Department has become a valuable source of encouragement, helping the business community, organizations and individual taxpayers to be more confident and resilient in overcoming natural disasters. From that spirit, "sharing for mutual development" is increasingly strengthening the relationship between the Tax Department and taxpayers, making an important contribution to the stability and socio -economic development of the province.
