A veteran's family hopes for help

Veteran Le Viet Dung, in group 12A, Bac Kan ward, is facing many difficulties because his entire house was almost damaged by a landslide, forcing his family to take refuge with neighbors.

People of group 12A, Bac Kan ward donated money to support Mr. Le Viet Dung to build a new house.

After a heavy rain that lasted for many hours on August 22, 2025, all the soil and rocks on the slope behind the house collapsed, collapsing the kitchen and half of the house where Mr. Dung's family was living. Fortunately, thanks to proactive measures, there were no human casualties.

After the flood damage, the local authorities visited, encouraged and provided support according to State regulations. Neighbors also helped move belongings to a safe place, donated more than 23 million VND to support the family and household items, and created conditions for them to stay during the time of overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster.

Mr. Le Viet Dung comes from a poor family, his wife died early, he has 2 sons who often work far away but their jobs are unstable, their income is also uncertain. Currently, veteran Dung's family is in great need of attention from the locality, help from benefactors, to have the funds to rebuild the house on the family's land.
