For only 205,000 VND, many models of nut milk makers are being sold widely online. However, the actual quality makes users confused.

The trend of healthy eating is causing many people to turn to household appliances such as nut milk makers to prepare their own food at home. In addition to genuine products priced from 2-3 million VND, on e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Tiki, Lazada, many "multi-function" models are being sold for only 205,000 VND. This super cheap price makes consumers doubt the quality and safety.

Just type in the phrase “mini nut milk maker,” and a series of compact devices with 200–300W and 300–500ml capacity will appear. Many shops advertise that the machine can cook porridge, blend smoothies, make soy milk, and even stew soup. Some even attach illustrative videos , introducing the ability to cook milk in just 15 minutes – like a “mini” version of high-end machines.

However, the actual experience is far from the advertisement. Ms. Tran Thu Huong (Hoang Mai district, Hanoi ) shared: “I bought a machine for 205,000 VND, and saw quite good reviews. But after using it a few times, I found that the milk often clumped, the grinding was not smooth, and the machine smelled of plastic when heated.”

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi, an electrical technician in Hanoi, most cheap nut milk makers actually only have the function of grinding and lightly warming, and are completely unable to heat up enough to boil the ingredients like genuine machines. “The machine’s heating plate is very weak, only enough to warm up, not cook the seeds, so the milk easily separates and loses its flavor,” he said.

Not only that, many models also lack the temperature sensor and automatic shut-off function, which are necessary to avoid fire and explosion. If the user accidentally leaves the machine running for too long or runs out of water, the risk of fire is very high.

"Don't trade your family's health and safety for a few hundred thousand dong cheaper," Mr. Khoi emphasized.
