MC Lai Van Sam proposed adding a Dedication Award: Can't I lose to others?

The Dedication Awards Ceremony not only gathers nominated artists and athletes but also has the presence of many experts and celebrities in many fields. These special guests are often invited by the Organizing Committee to attend and participate in awarding prizes to winning groups and individuals.

When invited to present the Program Series of the Year award, veteran MC Lai Van Sam humorously suggested that the program's organizing committee expand the award system to have an award for himself.

Specifically, the male MC shared: "Just now I sat below and heard many people presenting awards giving opinions to the head of the Organizing Committee, suggesting that there be more awards. I also have this suggestion, otherwise I might be worse than others!

I suggest that next year's award ceremony should have an additional award, called the Most Dedicated Person Award at the Dedication Awards Night, and I will be nominated. Because there are two people presenting the award, and I am the only one."

Normally, when announcing the winner, the Organizing Committee will invite at least 1 guest along with the Organizing Committee representative to the stage. However, when announcing the Program Series of the Year award, only MC Lai Van Sam was invited to the stage to announce and present the award. Seeing such a special arrangement, the male MC humorously suggested that the Organizing Committee give an additional award.

Before MC Lai Van Sam, some guests announcing the awards such as People's Artist Xuan Bac and People's Artist Trung Hieu also suggested that the Organizing Committee consider expanding the award system so that other professions such as theater, cinema... can also be honored at the Dedication Awards.

The Dedication Award is a prestigious music and sports award, in which the music section is often compared to the Vietnamese Grammy. Initially, the award was called the Dedication Music Award, organized by the Sports & Culture newspaper for the first time in 2004.

By 2023, the Devotion Music Award was renamed the Devotion Award and added a Sports section. From now on, the Devotion Award is divided into two award systems: the Devotion Music Award and the Sports Devotion Award.
