Mercedes-AMG GT S Edition 1 worth over 8 billion of tycoon Quoc Cuong reappears

The number of Mercedes-AMG GT S Edition 1 cars in Vietnam can be counted on the fingers and almost all of them have been bought by "Qua" Vu, only 1 car remains, owned by businessman Quoc Cuong.

Recently, a Mercedes-AMG GT S Edition 1 supercar was caught rolling on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City and the interesting thing is that this is a very rare car that is still seen on the street, the remaining cars are all in the garage of "supercar boss" Dang Le Nguyen Vu.

This Mercedes-AMG GT S Edition 1 is owned by businessman Quoc Cuong, who owns nearly 10 supercars and super luxury cars in Vietnam. The car has an eye-catching bright yellow paint color, this supercar has the highlights of the GT S Edition 1 version such as the 2 side panels of the front air vents, side panels, mirror covers, rear bumper or carbon fiber roof.

In addition, the fixed carbon fiber rear wing is also the difference between the Mercedes-AMG GT S Edition 1 and the standard Mercedes-AMG GT S version. When it first arrived in Vietnam, this yellow Mercedes-AMG GT S Edition 1 supercar had an official price of 8.26 billion VND.

The Mercedes-AMG GT is a 2-door sports car that was introduced on 9 September 2014 and officially debuted to the public in October 2014 at the Paris Motor Show. Although it does not directly replace the SLS AMG (which competes in a different segment), it is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG.

The Mercedes-AMG GT went on sale in two variants (GT and GT S) in March 2015, while the GT3 racing variant of the car was introduced in 2015. A high-performance variant called the GT R was introduced in 2016.

Mercedes-AMG introduced the GT R Pro at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. The GT R Pro is a more track-focused version of the AMG GT line and is based on the GT R. Production will be limited to 750 units worldwide with a starting price of $200,645.

A GT4 racing variant, aimed at semi-professional racers and based on the GT R variant, was introduced in 2017. A new variant called the AMG GT Black Series was released in 2021. All variants are assembled at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen, Germany.

The Mercedes-AMG GT S Edition 1 uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing a maximum capacity of 510 horsepower at 6,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. The engine is combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, so the car only takes 3.8 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h from a standing start before reaching a maximum speed of 310 km/h.
