Mercedes-AMG GT63 APXGP Edition 2026 is expected to cost no less than 5 billion VND

The Mercedes-AMG GT63 APXGP Edition 2026 is a V8-powered coupe variant inspired by the fictional racing team in the upcoming F1 film this summer. A total of 52 GT63 APXGP Editions will be produced.

The new 2026 Mercedes-AMG GT63 APXGP Edition pays tribute to the F1 film directed and co-produced by Joseph Kosinski – who also made the film Top Gun: Maverick; the film stars Brad Pitt and was filmed at actual Formula 1 (F1) races to create an authentic experience.

Celebrating its role in the film's creation, the German automaker has unveiledthe sporty 2026 Mercedes-AMG GT63 APXGP Edition ahead of the Miami Grand Prix. F1 promises to be a summer blockbuster and marks the release of a highly anticipated car-themed film. Mercedes played a key role in the making of the film.

In addition to appearing on screen as the official safety car and medical car, Mercedes also provided AMG SL, GT and G-class models for off-track scenes. Mercedes is said to have helped design the APXGP race cars in the film, which are essentially modified Formula 2 (F2) cars.

Mercedes designed the new bodywork to resemble a real F1 car, while also ensuring that the car can accommodate multiple cameras. The AMG GT63 APXGP Edition pays homage to the fictional team in the film, featuring Race Gold accents that match the color of the car in the film.

Yellow appears around the radiator grille, the rear diffuser surround and the front fenders, and there is also a long yellow stripe along the body. The yellow checkered flag motif on the front fenders adds an eye-catching touch, along with the yellow AMG logo in front of the rear wheels.

The tailgate has a unique design with intricate lines that seem to form the letters APXGP. The 21-inch AMG wheels are also finished in a matte Race Gold finish, while the carbon-ceramic brakes are painted black.

This special edition comes with the AMG Carbon Fiber and AMG Aerodynamics packages, including: front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and fixed rear wing in carbon fiber, with a racing style.

The AMG Extended Night package adds black chrome trim to the radiator grille, AMG badge, rear Mercedes star and characteristic badges for a more sophisticated look. The interior features black nappa leather and microfiber suede upholstery with gold stitching.

There are yellow carbon trims and yellow stitching on the heated AMG Performance steering wheel, dashboard, door panels and center armrest, and the door sills feature a yellow illuminated AMG logo. The Mercedes-AMG GT63 APXGP Edition is equipped with a 15-speaker Burmester surround sound system and the AMG Track Pace data system. A “Limited Edition 1 of 52” badge on the center console underscores the car’s rarity. Like other GT63s, the APXGP Edition is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 577 horsepower and all-wheel drive.

There is no information about the price of this Mercedes-AMG GT63 APXGP Edition 2026 , but the APXGP Edition is a limited production model of 52 units worldwide. The expected price will be significantly higher than the standard GT63 price of $ 191,550 (converted to 4.98 billion VND).

In F1, Brad Pitt plays a former racing driver who returns to racing alongside a young talent played by Damson Idris. The film also stars Oscar-winning actors Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon. F1 opens in North America on June 27.
