Microchip Launches MPLAB® Machine Learning Solution Development Kit

The MPLAB® Machine Learning Development Suite is the first dedicated solution supporting 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit MCUs as well as 32-bit MPUs for edge machine learning applications. This software toolkit can be used across Microchip's microcontroller (MCU) and microprocessor (MPU) portfolio to quickly and efficiently add ML inference capabilities.

ML uses a variety of algorithmic methods to manage patterns from large data sets to support decision-making. This solution is often faster, easier to update, and more accurate than manual processing.

One example of how this tool is being used by Microchip customers is to support predictive maintenance solutions with the ability to accurately predict potential problems that may occur with devices used in a variety of industrial, manufacturing, consumer, and automotive applications.
