Miss World 2025: Thai beauty crowned, Y Nhi stops at top 40

Representative of Thailand, beauty Opal Suchata Chuangsri was just crowned Miss World 2025 in the final night held in Telangana, India, on the evening of May 31. The reigning Miss Krystyna Pyszková (Czech Republic) crowned her successor.

The remaining results showed that the representative of Martinique (Aurelie Joachim) was the 3rd runner-up; the representative of Poland (Maja Klajda) was the 2nd runner-up and Ethiopia (Hasset Dereje Admassu) was the 1st runner-up. Meanwhile, after a whole month of competition, Miss Ý Nhi had to sadly stop at the top 40, the same result as Mai Phương's 71st season (2023).

As the last beauty to answer of the top 4 in the Final night of this year's season, the Thai representative received the question: "What has this journey taught you about truth and personal responsibility in shaping how stories are told?"

Miss World Thailand 2025 confidently replied: “Being here is a special opportunity that I have never had in my life. What I learned during my journey at Miss World is responsibility. Here, I and other girls have become the version that we all admire. That is the person who will lead you to a bigger path. And I am on that path.”

The new Miss is 21 years old and is currently a Law student at Thammasat University, majoring in International Relations.

Opal Suchata Chuangsri has an outstanding height of 1.8m with a lovely face, dignified demeanor and attractive figure. She has a large fan base in Thailand and internationally because she won the 3rd runner-up Miss Universe 2024. Coming to the 72nd Miss World, the Thai beauty is considered a strong candidate for the Miss World title.

In the sub-competitions, she won the Media award and entered the top 8 of the Head to Head competition. Bringing to Miss World the Opal For Her project - raising awareness about breast cancer, helping patients access the best treatment methods and live positively, the new Miss has been pursuing this project for many years after having a tumor removed from her breast.

As for the representative of Vietnamese beauty, on the journey to participate in Miss World this time, Y Nhi and more than 100 contestants competed in many activities. In the sub-contests, Y Nhi was not lucky enough to become the winner of the region that had a direct place in the top 40 finalists.

However, Miss Ý Nhi left certain marks in the contest such as: Top 48 in the Talent category, Top 8 in the Beauty With A Purpose category and Top 20 in the Multimedia Challenge category.

In the final night, the beauty appeared in a mermaid-shaped evening gown made of pastel blue tulle. After that, Y Nhi was named in the top 40. This is also the highest ranking she has achieved in the Miss World journey. Y Nhi was not named in the top 20.

Thus, the Vietnamese sash has built a series of "intop" (top) for 5 consecutive years, since 2017 with the participation of Miss Do My Linh. The highest achievement of the Vietnamese representative in this contest currently belongs to Lan Khue with the top 11 position of the 2015 season. The first Vietnamese beauty to participate in Miss World in the 2002 season, Miss Vietnam Pham Thi Mai Phuong, also entered the top 20 finalists./.
