All banking activities are operating normally.

On the morning of September 14, Vietnam Prosperity and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PGBank) held a direct working session with people in Phu Thi commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi .

The meeting was attended by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy - Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Hanoi Branch and Mr. Tran Duc Phu - Deputy Head of Security of Gia Lam District Police, along with local authorities to clarify the false information that has been spread and reassure the people.

During the meeting, the representative of the State Bank of Vietnam, Hanoi branch, explained in detail the bank's operations, affirming that all transactions and activities take place within the legal framework and are closely supervised by the State Bank of Vietnam.

In addition, the representative of the authorities affirmed that there will be stronger measures against those who spread inaccurate information, causing social disorder and affecting the interests of depositors.

PGBank is committed to comprehensively protecting customers' rights.

A representative of PGBank shared: "The bank regrets the incident and affirms that all activities at the bank are normal and absolutely safe, in full compliance with the provisions of the law as well as the State Bank of Vietnam. At the same time, the bank is committed to comprehensively protecting the interests of customers."

Previously, PGBank sent a dispatch requesting the Gia Lam District Police, Hanoi to prosecute the case of spreading false rumors related to the bank's operations in the district, affecting the image and reputation of the Bank and causing losses to deposits of local people.

Accordingly, recently, some inaccurate rumors have appeared, causing confusion for some PGBank customers in Gia Lam district, Hanoi.

PGBank has reported the incident to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) for guidance and coordination with relevant authorities to handle false rumors.

Currently, the Bank is working with the relevant Police Agency to request to receive the case to investigate and track down the subjects who provided false information causing disorder in social security and affecting the interests of depositors.

This matter is being taken seriously to ensure a safe and transparent financial environment.
