At the reception

At the reception, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong expressed his pleasure to welcome the Ambassador and the delegation to visit and work in Hue. The Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized that the visit has special significance, contributing to consolidating and expanding the friendly cooperation relationship between Hue city and Danish partners, especially in the context of the two countries towards the 55th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (1971-2026).

Introducing the general development situation of the locality, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong said that Hue is focusing on realizing the goal of building a "heritage, culture, ecology, landscape, environmentally friendly and smart" urban area. In the first 6 months of the year, the city's economic growth was estimated at 9.39%, with a great contribution from Carlsberg Vietnam. Carlsberg not only contributes to the budget and creates jobs, but is also a model in sustainable development and environmental responsibility.

According to the Chairman of the City People’s Committee, this year the number of tourists to Hue continues to increase sharply, including many visitors from Denmark. The city is also ready to host activities towards the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Denmark, including cultural and artistic exchange events…

Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong expressed his wish to continue receiving support and companionship from the Ambassador and Danish agencies and organizations in key areas such as green growth, digital transformation, education and training, renewable energy, smart urban development and climate change adaptation. At the same time, he proposed that the Danish Ambassador act as a bridge to promote Danish businesses, universities and organizations to pay attention and explore cooperation and investment opportunities in Hue - a locality that is building a friendly investment environment, streamlined procedures and has a strategic location in the Central region.

Mr. Nicolai Prytz presented souvenirs to city leaders after the reception.

Speaking at the reception, Mr. Nicolai Prytz congratulated Hue on officially becoming a centrally-governed city – an important milestone in the development process. He highly appreciated Hue's increasingly prominent role in international cooperation, especially its proactive and open spirit in connecting with Danish cities.

Mr. Nicolai Prytz expressed his impression of Hue's cultural depth, history and sustainable development potential, especially its orientations for green growth, smart cities and environmental protection. The Ambassador also acknowledged the cultural and educational cooperation between Hue and Denmark in recent times, with many art exchange programs, student exchanges, Danish film week and the presence of Danish artists at the Hue Festival.

Mr. Nicolai Prytz affirmed that, as a diplomatic bridge, he will continue to promote cooperation between Denmark and Hue in many fields. At the same time, he expressed his belief that Hue will continue to be an attractive destination for Danish delegations, investors and development organizations, contributing to deepening the friendly relationship between the two sides in the coming time.
