The movie "My Father, the One Who Stays" enters its final stage, focusing on the relationship between Nguyen (Tran Nghia) and An (Ngoc Huyen).

In the latest episode, An and Nguyen went out alone, showing warm gestures and eyes towards each other. Some viewers commented that they looked like a couple on a date.

However, this detail caused controversy across social networks, because many viewers disagreed when the brotherly love (although not related by blood) of An - Nguyen progressed further.

In response to the negative reactions of viewers, actor Tran Nghia posted an explanation on his personal page: "The feelings between Nguyen and An are not simply love and hate, but contain many layers of complex emotions. The initial vibration, trust, hope, but also doubt, fear and hurt. When the audience only looks at a hot scene or excerpt, it is easy to rush to judge and forget the deep inner journey behind it."

The film "My Father, the One Who Stays" revolves around the family of two fathers, Chinh (Meritorious Artist Bui Nhu Lai) and Binh (Meritorious Artist Thai Son). They raise and take care of three children who are not related by blood.

However, events forced Viet (Thai Vu) and Nguyen to leave their families and study abroad. When the two sons returned, Mr. Chinh's family had conflicts that caused members to drift apart.

An is the youngest daughter in the family, always pampered by her two fathers and brothers. During the 6 years her two brothers were away from home, An was sad and resentful towards them.

She also has a romantic relationship with a rich young master named Dai, although this relationship is always opposed by Viet and Nguyen. In recent episodes, Nguyen has many special feelings for her sister.
